The Bélanger crew takes on the Budd Car!

Last Saturday we took the kids, grandsons Xavier, Jalen, Olivier for an experience on the budd car from Sudbury to Cartier.

This was their first train ride.. they were very excited and Impressed and will remember it forever. Thanks to my longtime friend Bill for the suggestion they absolutely loved it.

Baggage car filled with passengers, 6 or 7 canoes and gear boarded in Sudbury. Via rail employees were telling me the previous two weekends were at full capacity and that they couldn’t accommodate everyone going to Chapleau.

This is why I’m pushing to upgrade and expand this VIA service. The tourist dollars this brings into our community are important to the Northern Ontario Economy.

Samedi dernier, nous avons emmené les enfants, nos petits-fils Xavier, Jalen et Olivier, faire un voyage à bord du Budd Car de Sudbury à Cartier.

C’était leur première fois en train. Ils étaient très excités et impressionnés, et ils s’en souviendront toute leur vie. Merci à mon ami de longue date Bill pour cette suggestion, ils ont absolument adoré.

Le wagon à bagages était rempli de passagers, avec 6 ou 7 canots et tout l’équipement qui sont montés à Sudbury. Les employés de Via Rail me disaient que les deux week-ends précédents, le train était à pleine capacité et qu’ils n’avaient pas pu accueillir tout le monde en direction de Chapleau.

C’est pour cette raison que je pousse pour moderniser et agrandir ce service VIA. Les dollars touristiques que cela apporte à notre communauté sont importants.
