Northern Ontario Needs Transportation Investment

The federal Liberal government supported by your local Northern Ontario MP’s want to spend 90 Billion dollars on a High Speed Rail line from Quebec City to Toronto. A train nobody asked for…certainly not any Northern Ontarians.

I do not support the Alto High Speed Rail proposal.

As you may know I have been advocating for replacement and expansion of the Budd Car line. This line is a vital transportation link that serves many Northerners both locals and tourists. This project would cost a fraction of the High Speed Rail and sould eventually connect Thunder Bay to North Bay.

Le gouvernement libéral fédéral, appuyé par vos députés du Nord de l’Ontario, souhaite investir 90 milliards de dollars dans une ligne de train à grande vitesse reliant Quebec à Toronto. Un train que personne n’a demandé… et certainement pas les Ontariens du Nord.

Je m’oppose au projet de train à grande vitesse Alto.

Comme vous le savez peut-être, je milite pour le remplacement et l’expansion de la ligne Budd Car. Cette ligne est un axe de transport essentiel pour de nombreux résidents du Nord, qu’ils soient locaux ou touristes. Ce projet coûterait beaucoup moins cher que le train à grande vitesse et pourrait éventuellement relier Thunder Bay à North Bay.
